House parties which center on the consumption of beer that is pumped from a keg into plastic cups are called keg parties or "Keggers". These parties are popular amongst college students, but are technically illegal for anyone under the age of 21. Some popular kegger party themes are Luck of the Irish, Little Green Men, Psi Phi Toga Party, Ides of March, Post-Apocalyptic, Halloween Kegger.
College kids usually entertain themselves with holding kegger parties. It is practical to first purchase a keg of beer as close to the beginning of the party as possible. 30 minutes of advanced purchase time will allow any excess foam to dissolve inside the keg and will remain cool too. Then tap the keg with the tapper. Surround the keg in some kind of enclosure, or failing that, place ice at the top of the keg. This is the time when you should also start to serve the refreshments.
The party becomes more interesting if you organize card games or draw the kids over to the pool table or ping pong balls game. It will keep the energy levels ship shape and the cups will serve as a fine means of containment for the beer. Monitor your guest's intake, and be sure everyone has a lovely time, as long as the beer keeps flowing. The things that you will need to keep a fun keggers party on are – kegs of beer, ice, a tapper per keg, ping pong balls, deck of cards, water, snacks, 16 ounce cups. |
